In telecommunications, provision involves the process of setting up and completing the network to enable it to provide new services to its users. Server provisioning

Provisioning a server is a set of actions to set up a server with appropriate systems, data, and software, and make it ready for network operations. Common tasks when providing the server are: select the server from the set of available servers, load the appropriate software (operating system, device drivers, middleware, and applications), customize and configure the system and software appropriately to create or change boot image for this server, then change its parameters, such as IP address, IP Gateway to find network resources and related storage (sometimes separated as provisioning resources ) to audit the system. Further questions are addressed in academia such as when provision should be issued and how many servers are required in multi-tier, or multi-service applications.

On a cloud computing server can be provided through a web user interface or application programming interface. One of the unique things about cloud computing is how fast and easy this can be done. Provision of self-service for cloud computing services

Provision of mobile subscriber

Mobile subscriber provision refers to new service settings, such as GPRS, MMS, and Instant Messaging for existing customers from the mobile phone network, and any gateway to a standard Internet chat or mail service.
