In the philosophy of New Thought, Law of Attraction is the belief that by focusing on positive or negative thoughts, people can bring positive or negative experiences into their lives. Confidence is based on the idea that people and their minds are made of "pure energy", and that through the process "like energy attracts such energy" one can improve their own health, wealth, and personal relationships.
The Law of Attraction is one of the most popular of the "Universal Laws". The proponents of this mind-power paradigm generally combine cognitive reframing techniques with creative affirmations and visualizations to replace the limiting or self-destructive ("negative") mind with a stronger, adaptive ("positive") mind. A key component of this philosophy is that to effectively change one's negative thinking, one must also "feel" (through creative visualization) that the desired change has taken place. This combination of positive thinking and positive emotions is believed to allow one to "draw" positive experiences and opportunities by attaining resonance with energetic "Laws".
The Law of Attraction has no scientific basis and has been dubbed pseudoscience. A number of researchers have criticized the abuse of scientific concepts by supporters.

Histori
The Law of Attraction Origins grew out of the teachings of Phineas Quimby in the early nineteenth century. Early in his life, Quimby was diagnosed with tuberculosis. Unfortunately, the treatment did not work, so he started riding the train through his hometown, Lebanon, New Hampshire. He later regained his health and recovered, an event that prompted his study of "mind over body". Although he never used the words 'Law of Attraction', he explained this in a statement that captured the concept in the field of health:
the problem is in the mind, for the body is only the home of the mind to be silenced, and we value its value according to its value. Therefore if your mind has been deceived by an invisible enemy into a belief, you have put it into a form of illness, with or without your knowledge. With my theory or truth, I come into contact with your enemy and return you to your health and happiness. This is partly what I do mentally and partly by speaking until I correct the wrong impression and build the Truth, and Truth is the cure.
In 1877, the term 'Law of Attraction' appeared in print for the first time in a book written by the Russian occultologist Helena Blavatsky. His book Isis Unveiled discusses the esoteric mystery of ancient theosophy. At the end of the 19th century the term was used by writers of New Thought like Prentice Mulford (already in his essay "The Law of Success", written 1886-1887) and Ralph Waldo Trine, but for them, the Law of Attraction not only cares about health but every aspect of life.
The 20th century has increased interest in the subject with many books written about it, among them two best-selling books of all time; Think and Grow Rich (1937) by Napoleon Hill and You Can Heal Your Life (1984) by Louise Hay.
Even if the New Age movement adopts many New Thought ideas, including the Law of Attraction, the Law of Attraction remains a philosophical concept of new thinking.
In 2006, the Law of Attraction concept gained a lot of new exposure by releasing the film The Secret (2006) which later developed into a book with the same title in 2007. Movies and books got extensive media coverage. Rhonda Byrne's book has also influenced the filming of an untitled fiction movie based on The Secret, starring Katie Holmes.

Description
New Thinking Authors believe that the Law of Attraction is always operating and it brings to everyone the conditions and experiences they perceive to be dominant, or that they want or expect.
Charles Haanel menulis di The Master Key System (1912):
The law of attraction will surely and without doubt bring to you the conditions, circumstances, and experiences in life, according to your habits, habits, and dominant mental attitude.
Ralph Trine menulis dalam In Tune With The Infinite (1897):
The law of attraction works universally in every sphere of action, and we attract whatever we want or hope for. If we want one thing and expect the other, we become like divided homes against themselves, which are quickly destroyed. Decide firmly to expect just what you want, then you will attract just what you want.
Rhonda Byrne publishes in 2006 the The Secret movie where she emphasizes thinking about what everyone wants to get, but also to inculcate the mind with the maximum possible amount of emotion. He claims the combination of thoughts and feelings is what attracts desire. The Secret says that your subconscious mind can control everything that happens around you, including positive experiences, such as asking someone to call you from a distance, and negative experiences, such as death. Byrne underscores the power of the subconscious mind by asking the reader to fully control these thoughts, to achieve things in life, with the mind, as well as actions. Another similar book is James Redfield The Celestine Prophecy , which says reality can be manifested by humans. Humans and the universe have a tensile force between them that is similar to magnetic attraction. The Power of Your Subconscious Mind by Joseph Murphy, says readers can achieve seemingly impossible goals by learning how to control the mind. The Power by Rhonda Byrne, The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho, and The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle is similar. While personal testimony claims secrets and laws have worked for them, a number of skeptics have criticized the movie and the book Rhonda Byrne. One review of the book New York Times calls secret pseudoscience and "illusion of knowledge".
Claim about its effect
Health
The core claim by the author of New Thought is that our thoughts directly affect our health and that this is due to the Law of Attraction. They believe that fear, fear, stress or other negative thoughts make people sick, while positive thoughts about health or love can make people healthy and even cure illness. Proponents also claim that an important part of maintaining health and curing diseases is being able to visualize yourself as being healthy.
Financial
It is said that if a person consistently thinks of a prosperous mind regardless of their actual situation, they will experience prosperity in the future because 'like attracts'. Conversely, if someone consistently thinks they are poor then that will be their future experience. One of the examples used by Lisa Nichols in The Secret film is as follows now: "Whenever you look into the letter you expect to see the bill, guess what? It will be there. go afraid of the bill, you never expect anything great, you think about debt, you expect debt.So the debt should arise..... it arises because the Law of Attraction always obeys to you mind ". Feel happy and grateful for the money you already have, claimed to be the fastest way to bring more money into your life.
Relationships
Lawyers Lawyers claim that it affects our relationship because whatever we focus on us is more experienced; if an individual focuses on the good qualities of others, for example, the positive qualities will be magnified, and vice versa. They also claim that by visualizing that a certain person treats you in a positive way, then you will attract an experience that matches the visualization. He also claims that one can draw romantic relationships with someone who has the desired characteristics, by creating the mental image of the ideal person and by visualizing the imagined scene as real. Similarly, the idea that improving one's self-confidence, charisma and the overall subconscious desire to receive love can attract a partner. This area can be improved with the help of visualization exercises and manifestation techniques.
Ambition
It is said that when one visualizes clearly and in detail what they want to achieve, or focuses on that image, they move through the Law of Attraction a series of events that eventually culminate in the manifestation of that vision. Charles Haanel said in the Master Key System , "You should see the picture more and more complete, see details, and, when details begin to unfold the way and means to bring it into the manifestation will flourish" One thing will be leads to another. The thought will lead to action, action will develop methods, methods will develop friends, and friends will bring the situation, and, finally, the third step, or Materialization, will be achieved.
Philosophical and religious foundations
The concept of New Thought of the Law of Attraction is rooted in ideas coming from various philosophical and religious traditions. In particular, he has been inspired by Hermeticism, New England transcendentalism, specific verses of the Bible, and Hinduism,
Hermeticism influenced the development of European thought in the Renaissance. His ideas are partially transmitted through alchemy. In the 18th century, Franz Mesmer studied the works of alchemists such as Paracelsus and van Helmont. Van Helmont was a seventeenth-century Flemish doctor who expressed the curative power of the imagination. It led Mesmer to develop his ideas on animal magnetism studied by Phineas Quimby, founder of New Thought.
The Transcendentalist movement flourished in the United States immediately before the advent of the New Thought and was thought to have a major influence on it. George Ripley, an important figure in the movement, stated that his central idea was "the supremacy of the mind over matter."
New Thought writers often cite certain verses of the Bible in the context of the Law of Attraction. An example is Mark 11:24: "Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours."
At the end of the nineteenth century Swami Vivekananda traveled to the United States and gave lectures on Hinduism. This conversation greatly influenced the New Thought movement and in particular, William Walker Atkinson who was one of the pioneers of the New Thinker.
Criticism
The magazine's Skeptical Inquirer criticizes the lack of counterfeiting and testability of this claim. Critics have asserted that the evidence provided is usually anecdotal and that, because of the nature of self-selection of positive reports, as well as the subjective nature of any outcome, this report is susceptible to confirmation bias and selection bias. Physicist Ali Alousi, for example, criticized it as unmeasurable and questioned the possibility that the mind can affect anything beyond the head.
The Law of Attraction has been popularized in the early 21st century by books and films such as The Secret . This 2006 film and interview the use of subsequent books with writers and speakers of New Thought to explain the proposed metaphysical legal principles that one can attract whatever one thinks consistently. Writing for the Skeptical Inquiry Committee, Mary Carmichael and Ben Radford write that "neither film nor book has a basis in scientific reality," and that its premise contains "bad flipside: if you have an accident or disease, that's your fault".
