The spined dwarf mantis ( Ameles fasciipennis ) is a species of grasshopper spreading to Italy.
It was only collected once, probably in 1871 in the Tolentino area, and has not been seen since then, despite extensive entomological surveys in the region.

The IUCN Red List has stated that this species is highly endangered, possibly extinct.
If still present, threatened by intensive cultivation of its habitat.
