Saint Hubertus or Hubert ( c. 656 - May 30, 727) AD . He is a Christian saint who is the patron saint of hunters, mathematicians, opticians, and metal workers. Known as the Apostle of the Ardennes, he was summoned, until the early 20th century, to cure rabies through the use of traditional St Hubert Keys.
Saint Hubertus was widely respected during the Middle Ages. Her legendary icon is caught in the legend of Saint Eustace. The Bollandists published seven early life Hubertus ( Acta Sanctorum , November, i., 759-930 AD ); the first is a contemporary work, though very detailed.
He died May 30, 727 AD at or near the place called (in Latin) Fura . In the later Middle Ages, the place was identified as Tervuren near Brussels, Belgium, but the scholarship recently considered Voeren/Fourons, between Maastricht and Li̮'̬ge, a more likely place. Her holiday is November 3rd.

Youth
Saint Hubertus was born (probably in Toulouse) around 656. He was Bertrand's eldest son, Duke of Aquitaine. As a young man, Hubert was sent to the court of Neustrian from Theuderic III in Paris, where his charm and delightful address led to his investment with the dignity of the "palace count". Like many nobles at the time, Hubert was hooked on pursuit. Meanwhile, Ebroin's tyrannical behavior, the mayor of Neustria's palace, caused the general emigration of the nobles and others to the Austrasia palace in Metz. Hubert immediately followed them and was greeted warmly by Pepin from Herstal, the palace mayor, who made him immediately a grand-master of the household. About this time (682) Hubert married Floribanne, daughter of Dagobert, Prince of Leuven. Their son Floribert from Li̮'̬ge would later become a bishop in Li̮'̬ge, since the dioceses are all counted treasures that can be inherited in the large family of the Merovingian kingdom. He almost died at the age of 10 from "fever".

Hubertus Vision
His wife died while giving birth to their son and Hubert quit the court, resigned to the wooded Ardennes, and surrendered herself entirely to hunt. However, a great spiritual revolution is imminent. On Good Friday morning, as believers crowded around the churches, Hubert rushed forward to the chase. When he was chasing a stag or a fabulous female, the animal changed and, as told by a pious legend, he was surprised to see the cross standing between his horns as he heard a voice saying: "Hubert, unless you turn to God, and lead a holy life, you must quickly descend to hell ". Hubert came down, prostrated and said, "God, what am I going to do for me?" He accepted the answer, "Go and find Lambert, and he will instruct you."
The story of the mother first appeared in one of the later legendary hagiography ( Bibliotheca hagiographica latina , 3994-4002) and has been adapted from the legend of Saint Eustace or Placidus. It was first associated with St. Hubert in the 15th century.
Saint Hubertus (Germany) is respected among sports hunters as the originator of ethical hunting behavior.
During Hubert's religious vision, The Hirsch (Germany: deer) is said to have given Hubertus a lecture to hold animals in higher things and have mercy for them as God's creatures with value in their own right. For example, the hunter should only shoot while killing humanity, clean and quickly guaranteed. He should have just fired the stag through the early days of their nursery and fired the anticipated shot at the trophy to instead put the sick or injured animal that might have appeared on the scene. Furthermore, one should never shoot a female with young children to make sure the young deer have mothers to guide them to food during the winter. Such is the legacy of Hubert who is still taught today and upheld in the extensive and strict German and Austrian hunter education courses.
This heritage was also followed by French teachers, coaches and followers, who hunted deer, wild boars, and horses on horseback and were the direct beneficiaries of Saint Hubert in Europe. Chasse ÃÆ' courre is currently enjoying a revival in France. The Hunts applies a set of ethics, rituals, rules, and special tactics that originated in the early Middle Ages. Saint Hubert is honored annually by Hunts in formal ceremonies.
Hubertus as scholar and bishop
Therefore, Hubert soon left for Maastricht, because there Lambert was the bishop. Saint Lambert received Hubert well, and became his spiritual director. Hubert now abandoned all his enormous respect, and surrendered his birthright to Aquitaine to his younger brother, Odo, whom he made guardian for his infant son, Floribert. After sharing all his personal fortunes among the poor, he learned to become a priest, soon ordained, and soon became one of his fellow leaders. Lambert in the administration of his diocese. On the advice of St. Lambert, Hubert made a pilgrimage to Rome in 708, but during his absence, Lambert was killed by the followers of Pepin. According to Hubert hagiography, this action was simultaneously expressed to the pope in a vision, along with an order to appoint bishop Hubert of Maastricht.
He shared his episcopal income among the poor, diligently fasting and praying, and became famous for his eloquence in the pulpit. In 720, in obedience to the vision, Hubert translated St.'s corpse. Lambert from Maastricht to Li̮'̬ge with great pomp and ceremonial, some neighboring bishops helpful. A basilica for relics was built on the site of Lambert's martyrdom, and made a cathedral the following year, the throne was moved from Maastricht to Li̮'̬ge, which was then only a small village. This laid the foundations for the greatness of the future of Li̮'̬ge, in which Saint Lambert was honored as a patron, and Saint Hubert as the founder and first bishop.
Hubert actively evangelized among the pagans in the vast Ardennes forest and in Toxandria, a district that stretched from nearby Tongeren to Waal and Rhine meetings.
Death
Hubertus died peacefully in a place called Fura , located 30 miles from Li̮'̬ge, May 30, 727 or 728. He was first buried at St. Anne's college church. Peter, Li̬ge, but his bones were dug and transported to the Benedictine Monastery Amdain ("Andagium", in French "Andage", Saint-Hubert today, Belgium) in the Ardennes in 825. The monastery became the focus for pilgrimage, until the coffin disappears during the Reformation. Her holiday is November 3, probably the date of her relics translation to Amdain.
Veneration
Saint Hubert was widely respected in the Middle Ages and partly because his noble birth of several military orders was named after him: Bavaria, Bohemian, and Archbishop-Voters of Cologne.
Hubertus, along with Quirinus of Neuss, Cornelius and Anthony, was honored as one of the Four Holy Marshals ( Vier MarschÃÆ'älle Gottes ) in Rhineland. The St. Hubertus Orden (Order of St. Hubert), a knight's order, was founded in 1444 by Gerhard V from JÃÆ'ülich and Berg.
In the Anglican Communion, at least two churches are dedicated to Saint Hubertus in the Church of England.
