" The ineffabilis creator " (Latin for "O Creator Ineffable") is a prayer composed by the Church Doctor St. Thomas Aquinas of the 13th century. It is also called "The Prayer of St. Thomas Aquinas Before Study" (Latin: i span lang = "la"> OrÃÆ'¡tio S. ThomÃÆ'Â| AquinÃÆ'¡tis ante stÃÆ'ºdium ) for St.. Thomas "will often recite this prayer before he starts his lesson, writing, or preaching." Pope Pius XI published this prayer in his encyclical letter in 1923 at St. Thomas Aquinas, StudiÃÆ'³rum Ducem .
