Plot

This episode begins with Cartman mocking breast cancer during Wendy's presentation of breast cancer awareness, but Mr. Garrison did not stop him much. After class, Cartman continues to ridicule his efforts for breast cancer awareness, and Wendy announces he will fight Cartman after school. Butters echoed his classmates, including Bebe, who warned his friends in the girls' showers, Ike reported kindergarten students, and Red told the Goth Kids about it too.

This only makes Cartman fearful and reluctant after hearing even the weak, the weak, talking and saying that he will refuse his colleagues if he is beaten by a girl. Cartman tried to quash the argument with a quiet apology (trying to keep the rest of the school from hearing him and pretending he was brave and "hardcore", to avoid being called a coward), bribery, and desperate claims. When Wendy tells her that she will "push [his] down [his neck] and make [him] eat [his] clothes!" he painfully strangled his underwear in an attempt to calm him down, but this only disgusted him and angered him when he saw what little Cartman's self-respect had (a statement that Cartman surprisingly agreed, quickly added, "Unless you want me. I have pride, then I will do it. ").

Cartman tried to convince Stan to talk about Wendy (while strangling his underwear, and replied "oh, that's where I put it down"), but Stan does not believe he can do anything to stop it. Desperate to avoid a fight, Cartman defecated on Mr. Garrison's desk, causing him to be put in custody. Butters, Craig, and Jimmy told him there was a rumor that he was deliberately getting detention to avoid the fight, and that they rescheduled the fight for the next morning before school.

Later, Cartman told her mother to convince Wendy's parents not to let her fight by pretending to be tortured and bullied by her at school, and she reluctantly gave up. Much to Wendy's surprise, rather than giving up, Cartman just kept teasing him, taking advantage of the fact that he could no longer fight back so his parents would not know, and the other students began to follow his example. When Cartman gave a false presentation of breast cancer in the classroom to rub his face in his victory, he almost fought with her but was summoned to Victoria Principal's office. To my surprise, Wendy, Principal Victoria praised Wendy for all the things she has done to spread awareness about breast cancer, and explained that she is a breast cancer patient. He indirectly (but deliberately) compares Cartman with cancer, telling Wendy that "Cancer does not play by the rules", that it is "a small clump of fat that needs to be destroyed", and "You refuse to let that little fat clot make you feel helpless. "Realizing that he would never quit his own will, and also that he had the support of Principal Victoria, Wendy decided to face Cartman once and for all.

Wendy then meets Cartman in the playground for a fight, and although Cartman briefly wins, Wendy immediately wins with only a few bruises, while leaving Cartman bruised, bleeding, and has crippled many of her teeth. The other disciples cheered him up and Cartman lowered himself by not even taking a beating in any form of dignity, exploding sadly in front of everyone. He declares that his friends will not find him anymore, but they tell him that they never considered him cool, and always hated him and always will, declaring that they can not think less of him. Cartman considered this to mean that they pretended not to have a different opinion about him to make him feel better; reasoned that if they tried to make him feel better, they did not care if he was beaten by a girl (and reminded viewers that Cartman as a narcissistic psychopath did not really care if people liked him or not, just that they saw him as superior). He walks away happily, leaving the others confused by his strange logic.

Cultural reference

The episode plot is based on the movies of Three O'Clock High, and There Will Be Blood . The fight scenes are also based on Snatch movies. Literary reference

While Cartman is waiting for a class fight, Mr. Garrison said, "So you see, at this point Euripides knows he can not win the battle", refers to The Frogs , a comedy game by Aristophanes in which Greek Tragedy Euripides and Aeschylus are measured against each other, preferably to be revived so that he can "educate the unconcerned" and get rid of Athena from the evil politicians who destroy the city (1500-1502, The Frogs).

Reception

This episode received the most positive reviews. The A.V. Club is rated episode B, stating "All in all, not the most ambitious episode, but it really works in its favor: Outside Wendy's crib from There Will Be Blood at the end, it can be broadcast 10 years ago and it works, and I also have the feeling it will remain funny 10 years from now because it's not full of direct reference date ". IGN gives an episode rating of 8.2/10, stating "Although this is a fun sequence, and a bit of good observation, this episode seems a bit anticlimactic. It's funny that Cartman thinks he somehow achieves something when he knows kids always think he's sucking and their opinion of him 'can not possibly be lower'.The fanciful self-delusion is part of Cartman's' charm '. But this episode is so unfocused for South Park and once the fight ends there is a feeling (perhaps deliberately?) of' that alone ? ' This is not one of the best episodes ever, but it's an old school installment that offers some really great moments - many of them Cartman classics. "It's always fun to watch."
